Exciting Opportunities for those Creating Outdoor Arts
Published 16th May 2017. Free Seminar for UK Outdoor Artists on Show Pricing / International Touring. Tuesday 16th May, 16:00 - 20:00 - Lumen (London). Monday 22nd May, 16:00 - 20:00 - MadLab (Manchester)
FREE to attend - Limited capacity for both
XTRAX, Without Walls, and ISAN are joining forces to run two events aimed at UK outdoor arts companies looking to take their work on the road.
Artists will learn from a panel of specialists about how to balance the books, price work correctly, and keep costs down, with a view to touring a show which is cost-effective to have on the road, and financially viable for promoters to book. Those ready to take work beyond the UK can get information about the international market and an insight into the context of festivals in Europe.
Confirmed speakers include Michelle Walker (GDIF), Rowan Hoban (Wild Rumpus), Bill Palmer (Avanti Display), Silvia Fratelli (Mimbre), Bettina Linstrum (German Festival Expert, ArtsAgenda), Pete Gunson (Pif Paf Theatre) and Camille Beaumier (NoFit State).

XTRAX Shorts at the XTRAX/GDIF Showcase
We are looking for artists and companies to give creative presentations about new outdoor projects in development to an audience of UK and international festival and event representatives, producers, and outdoor arts professionals at our sector renowned XTRAX / GDIF Showcase (23rd - 25th June 2017).
Projects should ideally be new shows in development, provided they have a clear development schedule and must be ready for touring in 2018. Presentations should be given in English and utilise strong visual aids or a PowerPoint presentation.
Projects can be of any scale. Whilst we welcome proposals for large-scale projects, many of the bookers will be looking primarily for small and medium scale work. We particularly encourage applications which can clearly demonstrate a project's suitability for international touring.
Deadline: Monday 22nd May, 5pm
