SOUTHPAW DANCE COMPANY (2017)
SO Festival 2017 was excited to present SOUTHPAW DANCE COMPANY. The professional cast included some of the UK's finest Bboys (breakdancers) who combined the vocabulary here of breaking and contemporary seamlessly alongside Charleston, Lindy and other swing styles of the roaring 20's.
Southpaw Dance Company worked with groups from across East Lindsey to create a new show especially for SO Festival. Some of theUK's best breakdancers combined the vocabulary of breaking & contemporary dance seamlessly alongside a range of dance styles to create powerful, joyous performances.
Southpaw are known for creating work that combines high quality community engagement alongside the blistering physicality of their professional performance company. Southpaw returned to SO Festival with this collaboration, creating a work that was inclusive, entertaining & spectacular in equal measure.
