Life's A Beach project explored memories of those seaside trips in a brand new show premiering in Tower Gardens, Skegness as part of SO Festival 2017.

Black Country Touring in partnership with SO Festival supported by Creative Black Country & Magna Vitae took inspiration from seasonal visitors & year round residents.

Life's a Beach project explored the stories captured from holidaymakers, residents & daytrippers to the seaside produced from interviews with people of the Black Country & Skegness. Each story was presented in three specially converted caravans to capture those seaside memories perfectly.

"We've interviewed a broad range of people from very different backgrounds across the Black Country and Skegness and heard some beautiful, funny, sad and heart warming stories."

"We have used these to create three very different short performances lasting up to twenty minutes each which will transport our audiences to the wonderful and eccentric world of our British seaside towns."

Why was you looking forward to coming to Skegness?  Black Country Touring was delighted to be premiering Life's a Beach at SO Festival in Skegness. It was where we started the conversations & met so many of the people & characters that contributed to the show. It was like a homecoming if you like & we couldn't wait to see if people recognise some of the stories.
