About SO Festival

SO Festival is a family-friendly cultural arts festival on the East Coast of Lincolnshire.

Brought to you by Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture we offer locals, visitors and holidaymakers alike a truly memorable experience with an array of home-grown and international performances.

Since 2009, the festival has received significant investment from East Lindsey District Council and support from Arts Council England and we are proud to be a National Portfolio Organisation for the second time.

SO Festival is a partner of Without Walls Touring Network Partnership, a project that tours high-quality outdoor shows for free to towns and cities across England without regular arts activity.

Jens Frimann Hansen, our Artistic Director from Denmark, brings a Nordic and continental direction that provides a fantastic display of outdoor art and entertainment to prompt both community engagement and thought. We are delighted to be working with Europe’s leading festival director, and partner with Helsingør Teater in Denmark and PASSAGE Festival in Denmark and Sweden.
