We’re thrilled to announce that the SO Festival 2026 programme is now live, and audiences can start exploring the incredible range of experiences coming to Skegness and Mablethorpe this June.
Once again, SO Festival will transform the promenades, parks and public spaces of both seaside towns into vibrant stages for theatre, dance, circus, music, comedy and magical outdoor arts. Featuring an exciting mix of local, national and international performers, the festival invites everyone to encounter bold ideas, joyful moments and unforgettable live experiences right on their doorstep.
Free, Inclusive and Created With Community
SO Festival is completely free to attend and is proudly created with and for the people of Lincolnshire. Community collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do, from year‑round partnerships with artists and cultural organisations to meaningful engagement with local residents and groups.
This approach ensures the festival is not only accessible to everyone, but also deeply rooted in the places it inhabits, reflecting the voices, stories and creativity of the community.
The newly launched programme includes the first wave of performances, workshops and activities, offering a taste of what’s to come this summer. From awe‑inspiring outdoor shows to moments of playful interaction, there’s already plenty to discover for audiences of all ages.
And this is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks we’ll be adding new artists, more performances, timetable details and further updates, so we encourage you to keep checking back as the full 2026 programme unfolds.
Spotlight on Made in Lincolnshire
A standout feature of SO Festival 2026 is our ‘Made in Lincolnshire’ strand, a celebration of creativity born and developed right here in the county.
Created through year‑round collaborations with local artists, cultural organisations and community groups, this strand champions home‑grown talent and ensures that the work presented on our stages truly reflects the diversity, imagination and lived experiences of Lincolnshire communities.
Whether you discover a familiar face or encounter something completely new, Made in Lincolnshire is a powerful reminder of the creative energy that exists all around us.
Try Something New in Our Activity Zone Workshops
Alongside spectacular performances, SO Festival 2026 also offers opportunities to get involved through a series of Activity Zone workshops.
These hands‑on experiences invite audiences to explore new skills, ideas and art forms together. Highlights include inclusive opportunities such as the Accessible Aerial Workshop, designed for people of all abilities, including wheelchair users and those with additional needs.
In a supportive and welcoming environment, participants can experience the excitement and creativity of aerial arts — proving that participation, play and discovery are central to the SO Festival experience.
