The SOuvenir Walk by Desperate Men

The SOuvenir Walk is an open invitation to take a creative ramble with friends and strangers through the streets of Skegness in the company of two dancing Desperate Men, an Accordion playing Trumpeter and a Magic Mandala making Bag Lady.

Jon and Richard will regale you with local tales and absurd improvisations; introduce you to hidden gems, beautiful ideas and important places. There will be games, souvenirs, mascots, interventions, play, song, poetry and motorbikes, and we’ll join the attempt to build to the world’s biggest Insect Hotel and enter the Guinness Book of Records at our final destination.

The walk will last a maximum of three hours covering around 3 miles.

You can join in from the start or find us at one of our stops along the way – by the Fairy Dell Pool, Beeston Hotel on Drummond Road, or Beresford Fields off Vine Walk / Beresford Avenue.

If you plan to join us from the start, we shall be meeting near the Band Stand area in Tower Gardens at 2.30pm.

As a token ‘entrance fee’ – you will need to bring a souvenir / memento of your own – to show, share or give away…

.. and bring a camera to create your own unique SOuvenir of this momentous walk !
