Connecting Lincolnshire to International Opportunities
The Lincolnshire International Network is a growing network of artists, festivals, producers, cultural organisations, local authorities, businesses and partners who share an interest in developing international connections, collaborations and opportunities.
Initiated by SO Festival, the Network has been established to build on relationships already being developed with artists, festivals and cultural organisations across Europe and beyond, creating new routes for Lincolnshire’s creative sector to connect, learn, share and collaborate internationally.
We believe international working shouldn’t be limited to a handful of organisations. By connecting people, knowledge and resources across the county, we can create opportunities that are more ambitious, more sustainable and more impactful than any one organisation could achieve alone.
Why International?
International collaboration can open doors to new ideas, new audiences, new skills and new partnerships.
It can create opportunities for:
- Artist exchanges and residencies
- International touring and showcasing
- Co-commissions and collaborative projects
- Professional development and networking
- Learning from international best practice
- Cultural exchange and community engagement
- Access to new funding and partnership opportunities
The Network aims to make these opportunities more visible, more accessible and more achievable for organisations and individuals across Lincolnshire.
Who Is It For?
The Network welcomes anyone interested in exploring international opportunities, including:
- Artists and creative practitioners
- Producers and arts professionals
- Festivals and event organisers
- Cultural organisations and venues
- Community organisations
- Local authorities and councillors
- Universities and education providers
- Creative businesses and entrepreneurs
You do not need previous experience of international working to get involved.
Whether you are taking your first steps or looking to build on existing international relationships, the Network is a space to learn, connect and explore possibilities together.
What Will the Network Do?
The Network will develop in response to the interests and ambitions of its members, but opportunities may include:
- International Go Sees and study visits
- Networking and partnership development
- Knowledge sharing and peer learning
- Artist and producer exchanges
- Capacity-building and professional development
- Collaborative funding opportunities
- Hosting international artists and delegates in Lincolnshire
- Developing new projects and partnerships with organisations overseas
Our aim is not simply to bring international work into Lincolnshire, but to create meaningful opportunities for Lincolnshire’s artists, organisations and communities to engage with the wider world.
Shaping the Future Together
This is an evolving network, not a predetermined programme.
The future direction of the Network will be shaped by the people and organisations who become part of it. Together, we will identify opportunities, build partnerships and explore how international collaboration can strengthen Lincolnshire’s cultural sector.
By sharing knowledge, ambition and expertise, we can create a stronger, more connected and internationally engaged creative county.
